Inspired by his actress mother, Zack Gold began his acting career at a young age performing with her on various stages in and outside of San Francisco. From there he started a journey that has led him to incredible work as a professional in the industry. At the age of 17, Gold received an award for "Best Actor" at the Lenaea Fringe Festival. This accomplishment propelled him to study acting, theatre and film on a collegiate level. Gold received his BFA in Theatre from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2006.
A native of Northern California, Zack Gold now resides and works in Los Angeles. Very active in film and television, Gold also remains grounded in his theatre roots. He is a member of Theatre Banshee, which was named LA's Best Mid Sized Theatre by The Los Angeles Times. Last year Gold worked as a lead on the feature film "How To Survive" that filmed in Kodiak, Alaska. The film will make its release later this year. Recently Zack Gold was featured on the webisode series, "Blue Movies" starring Jarreb Dauplaise.
Beyond life in the industry, Zack Gold is a young man of many passions. An avid traveler, he backpacked across China, South East Asia and India for the better half of a year upon graduation from college. He also spent time working as a rancher and wrangler in Wyoming. Gold is affectionate about fitness, health and cooking which are inevitably drawn from being the kin of a fitness instructor and an award-winning cookbook author.
Sometimes compared to Joaquin Phoenix and Montgomery Clift, Gold claims that inspiration is derived from the work of Laurence Olivier, Paul Giamatti, Sean Penn and Ethan Hawke. Zack Gold says if he could meet anyone, it would be Jesus Christ, or John Wayne.
